AWARDS
The Almeria Western Film Festival is being very careful about selecting the films, either in the section of full-length films or in the section of short films, and about including films in Spanish, either films made in EU and in Ibero-America or national and international premieres.
The winners are going to be chosen from the full-length films, short films and school training that had been previously selected to participate in the Western Competition. Then, the mentioned awards:
-Award for the Best Full-length Western Film, given by the Jury of the Official Section of Full-lengths films to reward the best full-length fiction work.
–Award for Technical-Artistic Contribution to the Western genre; given by the Jury of the Official Section of Full-lengths Films. It is given to a professional who has contributed to the spreading and renovation of the international western genre: scriptwriter, film director, art director, production designer, director of photography, sound engineer, composer, head of wardrobe, head of make-up and costumes, visual effects, etc.
–Award for Best Performance; given by the Jury of the Official Section of Full-length Films. It is given to an actor or actress who has played the principal or the minor role in one of the films taking part in competition.
–RC Service Award for Best Photograph; given by the Jury of the Official Section of Full-Length Films.
–Audience Award for Best Western Full-length Film; given by the audience who has watched the film projections of the Official Section, including the opening film, although this is not taking part in competition.
–Award for Best Western Short Film; given by the Jury of the Official Section of Short Films. It is given in honor of the best fictional short film.
–Award for Best Practice in School Training; given by the Jury of the Official Section of Short Films. It is given in honor of the best audiovisual short practice.
–RTVA Award for Audiovisual Creation in Andalucia; given by a Jury that will be composed of professionals from Almeria.
