Mi carrera como artista ha evolucionado desde la animación hasta la dirección de videoclips y, más recientemente, mi primer cortometraje, *The Wild Sheriff*. Con un elenco talentoso y un equipo profesional, filmamos *The Wild Sheriff* en película de 16 mm. La historia fue escrita por mi hijo Vittal y mi pareja Shane Ghostkeeper. El filme se inspiró en Sergio Leone y se rodó en el campo de las estribaciones de Alberta y en Heritage Park, un sitio histórico con un poblado que data de 1860, ubicado en Mohkinstsis/Calgary, Alberta.

La historia sigue a Wild Sheriff mientras sigue de cerca el rastro de su némesis, Mad Dog. Dimos vida al sueño de mi hijo de 11 años, una historia en la que ha estado trabajando desde los cinco años. La representación indígena y el proceso de descolonización del género western quedaron plasmados en esta historia conmovedora y envolvente.

My career as an artist has grown from animating to directing music videos and most recently, my first short film, The Wild Sheriff. With a talented cast and a professional crew, we filmed The Wild Sheriff on 16 mm film. The story was written by my son, Vittal and my partner Shane Ghostkeeper. The film was inspired by Sergio Leone and was shot in the countryside of the Alberta foothills and at Heritage Park, a historical preservation site with a townsite dating back to 1860 located in Mohkinstsis/Calgary, Alberta. The story follows Wild Sheriff as he is hot on the trail of his nemesis, Mad Dog. We brought to life the dream of my 11 year old son, the story that he has been working on since the age of five. The Indigenous representation and process of decolonizing the western film genre was captured in this heartfelt and engaging story.
