Ambientada en abril de 1862 en el Territorio de Arizona, The War Between sigue a dos soldados enemigos y a un apache chiricahua marginado, quienes deben confiar unos en otros para sobrevivir al implacable desierto de Sonora. Set in April 1862 in Arizona Territory, The War Between follows two enemy soldiers and a Chiricahua Apache outcast, who must rely on each other to survive the unforgiving Sonoran Desert. As a Union soldier with no memory struggles to reclaim his identity, the trio confronts their beliefs, prejudices, and the harsh realities of a divided nation. Set against a little-known Civil War campaign in the American Southwest, this intimate epic explores how survival, identity, and connection are forged in the face of war.

Deborah Correa es una cineasta estadounidense con raíses colombianas, cuyo trabajo abarca tanto la ficción como el documental. Egresada del prestigioso AFI Directing Workshop for Women, aporta una mirada cinematográfica y centrada en los personajes a historias marcadas por la identidad, la resiliencia y la historia ignorada. Su narrativa está profundamente influenciada por una crianza bicultural entre California y Medellín durante el auge del narcotráfico. Correa ha dirigido y producido proyectos para PBS, History Channel, Paramount+, Hulu y Spotify. Su ópera prima, The War Between, reimagina los géneros de guerra y western, y fue elogiada por Film Threat como “una hazaña cinematográfica”.
Deborah Correa is a Colombiana-American filmmaker whose work spans narrative and documentary. A graduate of the AFI Directing Workshop for Women, she brings a cinematic, character-driven lens to stories shaped by identity, resilience, and overlooked history. Her storytelling is informed by a bi-cultural upbringing between California and Medellín during the height of the narco wars. Correa has directed and produced projects for PBS, History Channel, Paramount+, Hulu, iHeartRadio, and Spotify. Her feature debut The War Between reimagines the war and Western genres and was hailed by Film Threat as “a soaring achievement.”
