A group of German construction workers start a tough job at a remote site in the Bulgarian countryside. The foreign land awakens the men’s sense of adventure, but they are also confronted with their own prejudice and mistrust due to the language barrier and cultural differences. The stage is quickly set for a showdown when men begin to compete for recognition and favor from the local villagers….

Valeska Grisebach
Guionista y directora nacida en Bremen en 1968. Su primer largometraje, Mein Stern (2001) ganó el Premio al mejor largometraje en el Festival de Turín y el Premio de la Crítica Internacional en Toronto. Con su segunda película, Nostalgia (2006), ganó el Gran premio en el Festival de Gijón. Con Western (2017) participó en la Sección Un Certain Regard del Festival de Cannes, ganó el premio a la Mejor dirección en el Festival de Mar del Plata y el Gran premio del Jurado en el Festival de cine europeo de Sevilla.
